With over 34 years in the construction industry, Rock made the transition from student to master a long time ago. The depth of his experience and knowledge as a Certified General Contractor serves as an invaluable leadership resource, which continues to guide the growth of Masters’ business and reputation.
Since his time with Masters he has overseen such projects as; Phelps Dunbar, Pender Newkirk, Shutts & Bowen, the Attorney General’s office, the machine shop expansion for Tampa Brass, One Call Medical, UBS Tampa, the GE Capital Office, the Outback Bowl office, and many more.
In addition, Rock’s leadership was an integral part of projects such as; Walter Industries Corporate Offices, AIIG Tampa Corp. offices, Advantec Corp. offices, Pepin Academy, Cushman & Wakefield Corp. offices, President’s Plaza 1 Atrium Renovations, GTED Financial Center on Gandy.
In his leisure time he enjoys shooting sports, hiking, bicycling, martial arts, hunting, fishing, kayaking, motorcycling, travel, and going to the beach.
As well, Rock actively gives back to the community through his involvement with The Alliance for Lupus, Children’s Home, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
A graduate of the University of South Florida and NOVA Southeastern University School of Law; Bruce enjoyed a successful career practicing law before returning to the construction business. He has worked on projects ranging from Industrial Power Plants and Commercial High Rises to Residential Homes and Room Additions. In addition to serving as the Company’s legal counsel, Bruce oversees the financial, human resources, and marketing divisions at Masters Construction and Development.
Bruce is also very active in both the industry and community service. He is one of the founding Directors for the national Non-Profit Organization “Support Our Troops” and serves on the Board of Directors for “Real Estate Lives” and “Homes for Homeless Children.” Bruce is a member of the Florida Bar, Lifework Leadership, C12, IREM, AIA, BOMA, FGCAR, NAIOP, and Westshore Alliance. His experiences in business law and community service have proven invaluable to the Company’s stability, growth, and overall management performance.
Both Bruce and his wife Cathleen are avid sportsmen, outdoor enthusiasts, and instructors in martial arts. He is also very active in community service as a founding Director and VP at Support Our Troops®, and on the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Raised in Maryland just outside Washington DC, William “Bill” Muehling was literally born into the construction industry. His father was a General Contractor who did residential and commercial construction mostly and often joked, that when Bill was “old enough to walk, he was old enough to work.” While that wasn’t exactly true, he was found tagging along on construction sites from as young as 4 years old. As Bill got older, he worked evenings and weekends on a regular basis while attending school during the day. When Bill was old enough to drive, he ran construction crews and delivered materials.
Bill has spent over 35 years in the construction industry, acquiring a vast number of professional certifications to accompany his vast depth of knowledge. In addition to being a CEM, (Certified Energy Manager), he received training from the Lincoln Institute of Technology – Air Conditioning Classes, 1st and 3rd Class Operating License Washington DC, 1st Class Operating License, 1st Class Operating License NIULPE, Clever Brooks Boiler Training, Carl Mathews Construction School for Construction License, Carl Matthews Construction School for Mechanical License, Class “B” Contractors License (expired), Lead Paint, OSHA, First Aid, CPM Classes 100, 200,300, 400, 500, Sea School - (Coast Guard Captains License).
